At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Patient & Family Advisory Council for Quality (PFACQ) jumped at the opportunity to send appreciation, warm wishes, and thanks to the dedicated employees of MSK. The cancer patients treated at MSK were not put on hold and were continuously taken care of by dedicated staff throughout the pandemic. MSK staff worked tirelessly to provide seamless care to patients ensuring that their cancer treatments were not interrupted. PFACQ Patient and Family Advisors recognized the hard work and dedication of staff members and created hundreds of homemade cards to send support and thanks while there were limited visitors allowed in the hospital. Cards were delivered to various MSK staff members in April 2020 by PFACQ Physician Champion, Diane Reidy, MD and Executive VP, Ned Groves, as well as other senior leaders of MSK. Staff members were overwhelmed by the gesture and appreciated the kind thoughts from PFACQ advisors. Thank you to all the healthcare heroes!
